Hi, my name's Donna. I'm a 20 year old Literature and History Student you likes to read (a lot) and make youtube videos.

Currently reading

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
John Boyne
The Lover's Dictionary - David Levithan This book was amazing. I recommend it to all of you.Full Review: http://donnareadsbooks.tumblr.com/post/52616093510/the-lovers-dictionary-review
The Runaway Queen - Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson I didn't enjoy this as much as the first installment, but it was still a fun read.Full review here: http://donnareadsbooks.tumblr.com/post/51791026735/the-runaway-queen-review
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) - Susan Ee Umm wow, I was enjoying this book and then the last 30 pages or so just hit me really hard and now I'm a bit of an emotional mess. I'll definitely be reviewing this on my channel.
Bloodlines - Richelle Mead Like VA video review to come for this series, nonetheless I loved it. (sorry I hardly ever write reviews)
Last Sacrifice - Richelle Mead Absolutely loved the ending to this series (well apart from for Adrian, but we have Bloodlines so I'm kinda ok with it). I'll be reviewing each book in the series on my youtube channel in a couple of weeks.
Frostbite - Richelle Mead You now how Rose just wants to curl up in a ball at the end of this book- me too, I just feel so sad (also it was probably not a good idea to read the end on the bus). youtube review to come :)
Vampire Academy - Richelle Mead I enjoyed this so much more than the first time I read this (don't get me wrong I enjoyed it the first time, but it took me until book 3 to really get into the series, but this time I was instantly hooked. I also didn't realise how some of my favourite Rose and Dimitri scenes happened in this first book. I'd definitely recommend this series to anyone who hasn't given it a shot, and a full review will go up on my youtube channel in a few weeks.
The Soulkeepers - G.P. Ching I have to say I was hoping for more from this book. I went into it knowing nothing really about it (apart from the blurb) and the concept seemed interesting however for me everything about it was a bit meh. The plot was pretty predictable and I developed no attachments to any of the characters at all (especially the main character, who was an asshole). Similarly the mythology of the book was just not what I expected and it just didn't do it for me (moreover the religious overtones of the book were too much at times- while it wasn't full on, there were times when I felt I was begin preached to and while I don't mind using religion as a basis for your mythology, I did not like how it was done here). All in all it probably wasn't a terrible book, but it was not a book for me and so I wouldn't recommend it.
The Indigo Spell - Richelle Mead Review to come.
Jane Eyre - Michael Mason, Charlotte Brontë Review to come.
Agnes Grey - Angeline Goreau, Anne Brontë I actually didn't enjoy this so much this time round as I did when I first read it. I still liked it but there were some things that bothered me about it.Full review to come.
